Dave, thank you for that great link.
A few comments on it:
Smallpox is now extinct in the wild because of vaccination. It used to kill millions of people every year.
Polio is now nearly extinct in the wild apart from in a few countries where some people, apparently for religious reasons, disapprove of polio vaccination. This one is personal for me - one of my brothers-in-law had polio before vaccination was available. He now deals with post-polio syndrome, which is not fun - that would not have happened if he had been vaccinated.
In my view everybody is entitled to their opinions of vaccination but they are not entitled to their own facts - the facts, as outlined in Dave's link, for the efficacy of vaccination, are overwhelming.
