I really feel for you. You must be so worried all the time. No wonder you can't sleep. I imagine it's a very difficult situation too because your daughter is an adult and even in the health or prison system a parent doesn't really have much of a say in what is going on at all.

I honestly don't have the answers and I think that our mental health system and our prison system have a lot to answer for really.

Probably the best thing you can do is to find support and information for yourself (such as Kiwi has posted) so that you can perhaps advocate on your daughter's behalf. Your daughter's safety sounds as if it's top priority right now.

Just wanted you to know that I'm sorry for what she and you are going though. Prison isn't the answer. She needs help and it doesn't sound as if she got much of that in there.
