I am on Medicare for part A and B and a secondary supplemental insurance for part D. The insurance was complicated to organize because medicare did not cover my part D and so therefore as they were not paying for the drug product (IVIG) they would not pay for the nursing fees to administer it in home. However the infusion company had me fill out some paperwork for compassionate care assistance ( what's your income, how much do you spend on food, etc. for many pages) and to make a long story short they granted a waver for the nursing care fees for home infusion and I got to stay home and have it done there.
I got pretty nervous about all the paperwork, what would happen, would it all work out, how would the money work out , etc. etc. and turns out it was all just anxiety related to not knowing what to expect with the infusion. In the end, infusion went off without a hitch.
