I am so sorry to learn of all the tears and depression. I would imagine all you have been through working with your husband's issues, trying to keep him from relapsing, etc., has to play a big part of all of this. This is no easy task.

The fish pond would seemingly be about the "end of the line"; but with the help of your husband, both of you handled it beautifully. (Also, need to give thanks to the cat.)......
