Hi Everyone,
I have been stopping in from time to time. I was a fit in follow up with my neuro today. We were following up on what my PCP called a complicated migraine because of the neurological symptoms I was experiencing. I woke up from a nap and I was numb on my left side, this was about a month ago. I am now putting words into my sentences that don't make sense. I have primary optic apathy, severe ringing in my ears, and the list goes on...lol
My neurologist is a very understand man. He told me happy birthday (I will be 50 this Sunday). Two years ago, I had an EEG on my birthday. Today, he finished at the computer and turned his chair and looked at me and with compassionate eyes told me, "Be prepared for a change in diagnosis." He is re-visiting the MS testing and sending me for Carotid ultrasounds, VEP, Brain Cervical & Thoracic MRI's...said we may have to do another LP. He really feels that I don't have Fibromyalgia now and feels bad that I have been suffering for 2 years with a FMS diagnosis. He was thinking that the spots on my brain onthe MRI were from smoking (I quit in 09) or from diabetes (I was dysmetabolic and only officially became diabetic 11/2015 and I already have my numbers back to prediabetic.
I think the idea is a little tougher now than before. I just became comfortable with living with FMS and dealing with it. I keep thinking about a song "Here I go again". LOL
