If you are even slightly deficient in IgA, then you should have the IgG subclasses checked. As I mentioned, you can have a completely normal total IgG, yet be deficient in one or more of the subclasses, which can be significant and considered a primary immune deficiency. Ask you doctor (even your primary care) to order the IgG subclasses.
