Default Question for those with experience...

I suffer from a chronic illness which has evaded diagnosis for 14 years. At one time a neurosurgeon suspected that I had MS, but that was later countered by an MS specialist who felt the clinical finding weren't conclusive.

My illness began (I think) as an infection in my colon. For 2-3 years my only real symptoms were chronic pain and the LLQ of my abdomen. Then I suddenly was set-upon by a whole new and very complex set of symptoms. These were accompanied by intermittent bouts of very acute sickness (vomiting, diarrhea, neurological changes, and EXTREME pain in my lower RIGHT abdomen. These attacks would last from 3 days to 2 weeks, and I would also develop hyper-sensitivity of all physical senses. The only comfort I could find would come from isolating myself in a dark room as much as possible. Does this sound anything like what results from MS?

Thank you in advance,
Idealist
