That was not my experience with MS but it's different for everyone.

I believe my MS was initially activated by my bout with Mono when I was 19. After that episode, which took me a good 6 months to recover from, the mild almost invisible symptoms began. 26 years later at the age of 45 I was officially dx.

Have you had a lumbar puncture (spinal tap)? It's not necessarily mandatory for dx but some doctors require them.

Are you seeing a Neuro that specializes in MS?

Usually the McDonald Criteria is used for diagnosis. Here is a copy of it:

What you're describing doesn't sound like MS but only a doctor can verify and give you a diagnosis.
