I post these types of notices for several reasons, fund raisers for charitable events are tax-free but they must be noticed . . . the more successful fund raisers tend to embody a gimmick of some kind (. . . food, friendly competition, ice bucket dumping, exercise, . . .). It might be helpful to prospective patients and their care providers to acquire ideas about successful fund raisers. I am not involved in any fund raisers and do not endorse them simply because I have posted a reference to their public notice here.

Monday is race day for the 120th running of the Boston Marathon and the third since the explosions marred the 117th running . . . I usually attend until the Women's wheelchair winners cross the finish line.

Good luck, rollers and runners!
