1. My #1 playlist I turn to when in pain, especially flare ups, is called Instrumentals. Most are movie themes or from tv shows such as: Somewhere in Time, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Same Time Next Year, The Mirror Has 2 Faces, Twilight, The Tudors, Dexter, Scarlett, North and South, etc...just some of my favorites but all very relaxing, pretty songs. Also a lot of stuff by Lori Line in that playlist...love her music.

2. Disney Parks music: Disney World is my happy place so this one is a mood lifter. When I find myself in some need of cheering up I am able to go to my happy place by listening to the music from the parks and my favorite shows and rides. First song in the list is the music from the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom...Wishes...brings such joy to my heart.

3. The Oldies: Mostly a selection of 50s and 60s songs that are my favorites such as Walk Like a Man, Runaround Sue, Sloopy, That'll Be The Day, It's My Party, The Wanderer, Sherry, etc. Generally the more upbeat songs that are fun to sing to. I listen to this when I'm doing more active stuff (like washing dishes) because it energizes me and if I'm singing along I am less focused on the pain.

4. Country: Same as the Oldies...just some upbeat high energy stuff that I can sing along with from artists like Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, etc.

Those are the main ones...I also have playlists for The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, American Idol (older stuff...haven't watched the last few years), Sound of Music, Disney Movies, Love Songs, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Sam Cooke, The Peacemakers (Reel to Real and Americano), Bob Schneider, Todd Snider (his live stuff...hilarious...good when I need a laugh), Michael McDermott (Bourbon Blue), Ani DiFranco, Jill Sobule...and gosh there are more but I can't think of off the top of my head.

When I'm at a loss of what I want to listen to then I often hit shuffle all songs and just go with whatever comes on...THAT is a fun experiment and I usually hear stuff I forgot about.

OH...and songs from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Can't believe I forgot that...the album and also the musical episode Once More With Feeling. Nostalgia...what can I say?
I listen to Disney Parks music too!
