Dress up, hah, black or grey pants and a sweater set along with a necklace or scarf. Yep, that's dress up for me.

I think if we realized how little people pay attention to what we're wearing we'd be surprised.

I guess I thought everyone who saw me would be critiquing what I was wearing......how it looked, fit.....did it make me look fat.

Truth is, most everyone else is concentrating on what they are wearing. Wondering if anyone saw the stain they had hidden, wondering if anyone noticed that they are wearing the same black pants they always wear....just a different top.

Thinking back to the last function I attended.....and by "function" I mean anything away from my house. Could have been a doctors appt or a trip to the grocery store. They all qualify as "functions" in my life now. I could not tell you what anyone was wearing (or not wearing...). And I think that's probably the way it is for most folks.

The only time I ever take note of something specific someone else is wearing is if I admire it......and I try to always tell them I like it.....or think it's pretty. I always love it when someone does that for me. Makes you feel good. Pay it forward when someone takes the time to compliment something you're wearing. Chances are they're feeling much the same way we do.
