what a very insightful post, pono......
thank you so much for writing that.

Our church, a Calvary Chapel fellowship, has a Meals Ministry where we have a few volunteers who co-ordinate and a dedicated group on the team who prepare and deliver meals, as often as needed , for those who are struggling with an illness, bereavement or whatever situation, and always for moms with newborns. We also have a Works team that help if anything more like handyman, mechanical etc stuff may be needed.

That to me is the essence of showing God's love....to be there when others really need us...

I do hope that you get some extra caring hands to help you pono, and am so sad for the grief and loss and all the upheavals you have been through in your own health and the challenges for you now as caregiver for both yourself and your dad. He sounds like a wonderful man, and what a remarkable story of recovery from the hospice to the nursing home to home!

gentle ((hugs))
Cheri
