Hi...I just wanted to pop into this conversation to let you both know my experience with Effexor. I recently had to change my medication from Effexor to something new. My case is probably much different, because I've fought depression which they figure is hereditary, for the last 20 years or so. For about twelve years I was on 150 mugs of Effexor. (they told me that was the regular dosage). Anyways it worked wonders for me as far as depression went. Like I said I was on it for years.
Here is the interesting part. Along comes my concussion and PCS....7 months after the concussion I went back to work...had a full relapse within a month and a half, but along with the relapse came Anxiety! Completely new to me. Anyways, the Effexor wasn't cutting it for me anymore. I was feeling completely hopeless so my doc switched me to a new medication altogether which seems to be helping me more. It is called Trintellix.
