Yes, this is a really cool link to the lions.

I was struck at the whole family roaring away. It reminded me of
some sort of domestic dispute!

I know that males do kill cubs, especially if they are sired from other males. But this male's roars were somewhat muted IMO and not big enough for aggression.

The female lion did position herself between the cubs and the male. That is a protective gesture. She is roaring too, but she turns her head to the left when she roars.

But none of them went far away from the male, so he didn't seem like much of a threat in this video.

There is alot of body language in this video to consider, IMO.
