I only know it works with hot water from the electric jug, just hot enough so you can sip it i mean, Billye said it worked for her with coffee or tea i can't remember which one right now, she was told it stimulates some nerve.
Some of my family members have the same problem at times and they use the hot water trick too, i hope it helps.
