The things you mention are so important, yes. I know that i hear many speaking of wanting to volunteer but don't want to do the typical. If just a few would focus on our communities "homebound" and their caretakers, what an amazing difference it could make!

I know that our local church helps their internal church family with that, maybe assuming that other churches do the same. But, what about other churches that don't do the same or those that aren't an active member of a church? I live in a rural township area where there are many elderly who have family checking in or taking care of them. This has really brought a burden to my heart and I'm going to mention it to my daughter (who's in missions locally) to see what can be done about it in this little area.
