Cool Smirk Effect of nicotine on PD patients

I am new to this forum. I was diagnosed 4 years ago and take a mixture of Sinemet (3 x 62.5) and Neupro (4mg) patches. My main symptoms are gait, balance and speech although I do have a resting tremor which doesn't really worry me in comparison. I don't suffer from any stiffness, freezing or depression (yet).

I imagine that nicotine may or may not work according to the "type" of PD that each of us has. Unfortunately scientists still regard us all as homogenously "having PD". Does anyone know of anyone who has not needed medication any more as a result of the nicotine treatment?

Also, has anyone experienced an improvement in their gait or speech as a result of taking nicotine?

Many thanks
SG
