i suggest you read this very long graduate thesis
BEANS, ROOTS, LEAVES THE HISTORY OF THE CHEMICAL THERAPY OF PARKINSONISM
https://opus.bibliothek.uni-wuerzbur.../dissfoley.pdf
enter ROOTS LEAVES TWIGS PARKINSONISM in a search if the link doesn't work.
if goes the the long history of all the natural treatments tried before sinemet came out. and a lot of things were tried.
my only other advice is try carbidopa/levodopa and see if it works and establish a "baseline" to compare any natural treatment to. it might take a few weeks to work up to an effective dose and it shouldn't take long to discontinue it. keep in mind that while carbidopa is synthetic, levodopa occurs naturally in mucuna. it's a simple amino acid.
if you are working, it sure is much easier to take a few small pills a day, less than .5gram vs many doses of grams of mucuna.
