Wow, it's amazing that such a big company would do something like that! That's sounds like something the neighborhood bank would do 50 years ago!

You don't want to get stuck having to buy new kicks if something happens to your sneakers in Europe. Is there a second pair of shoes you could consider taking just in case?

I've been to a couple of pretty nice hotels that have hidden self-service laundry facilities if you ask. Most hotels will also usually launder your clothes for you for a fee. And, of course, you could track down a laundromat… but who wants to do that on vacation in Paris?

My addition:

On the day we got married in Vegas, we had to wash my husband's dress shirt (we didn't have enough time to have the hotel do it) because he was drunk the night before and insisted on wearing it to dinner. We used the onsite guest laundromat at the Stratosphere, where we stayed and were married.
