I don't know how long you were off the klonopin, but I'm glad that you started taking it again. I don't know how much you were taking, but I imagine it wasn't a small amount, and Jo*mar is right… it isn't a med you want to stop cold turkey, especially if you are taking it often in larger doses. If you wanted to stop taking it, or start taking less, would want to talk to your pdoc about tapering off of it. If you have anxiety, I would treat it though.

I can understand why you don't want to take your antidepressants. You were feeling well for a little while, you have been so depressed for so long, they don't seem to be helping, and they do have side effects like sedation… (and the klonopin can definitely be sedating).
But taking meds is a trade off when you have BP. I need to take a lot of meds to stay safe and stable. The result is a some sedation, etc. We start taking these meds for good reasons and eventually we can't really sense what the benefits of the drugs really are anymore until we stop them. You could become (even more) severely depressed or hypomanic if you stop. I have stopped my meds before and it did NOT work out well for me.

Since you are still depressed, it's my opinion that it's not a good time to stop taking your antidepressants because I'm worried you could get worse

I think you should be frank with your pdoc and tell him point blank that you have no faith in your current med plan and are considering stopping your meds, and see what he has to say about it. Be honest. Don't worry about being judged because that's not going to help you get well, and that's what's really important.
