It sounds like you are getting some good help. Learning to act with purpose can be very good at helping one move forward. The old way of reactive or instinctive movements can cause us big problems. I'm missing part of a finger because I was not acting with purpose.

Regarding burnt offerings.

I have to use a timer anytime I turn the stove on. A carry timer would be best because then, if you walk away, you still hear it. There are devices that shut the stove off automatically if safety is a concern. Most house fires are started at the stove.
