Your neurologist should be able to write the order for plasmapheresis. It depends on the facility, but usually a plasmapheresis nurse will do the procedure.

Unless you have very good peripheral (arm) veins, you will need some type of temporary venous access for the treatment. They prefer to put an external catheter in a large neck vein like the jugular or subclavian.
It sounds scary, but I've been having it for over three years now and it really helps with strength.
