Hi Caroline,

I am sorry your sister is challenged with MS.

I am very sensitive to many substances, having many reactions to exposures.
This includes exposures to many meds as well as to many substances. I have frequent negative reactions to foods, to meds and to supplements.

I have a better shot at tolerating a med or supplement if/when formulation is as pure as possible.

Both tolerability and efficacy are important factors.
Neither approach guarantees tolerability and efficacy, sadly.

M.S. can be a devastating condition, as you know, even without any MS meds attempted. It could be very difficult to sort out the natural course of disease progression and effects of meds and/or supplements,

Are you, is your sister, aware of the research by Terry Wahls, MD?
Dr. Wahls had progressive MS and was told she was too progressed, was told nothing more could be done for her. She did not give up, continued her own research, eventually formulating "The Wahls Protocol." This protocol is formulated to maximize the efficiency of the mitochondria.

Many ppl try this "protocol" for the healing of many different conditions.
I have too many medical conditions. I do not have MS. I have been following the dietary part of the protocol, which has three levels. I have chosen the most strict level and feel much better than I did prior to adhering to the dietary protocol. I have many fewer bothersome symptoms, so far. I am not "healed" or "cured," yet I do feel less overwhelmed by negative symptoms.
It took my body 3 weeks to adjust to this level of dietary change, even though my diet was considered "healthy" before starting on this protocol.

I have some very strong negative reactions to foods, meds, supplements.
This approach is helping me in major ways.

Hugs!
