I have been on Oxycontin for a few years now. Oxycontin is extended release and should never be cut/split. Oxycodone is a bit different in that it is not extended release. I believe you mentioned it is the Oxycontin you are taking which is usually given for long term pain (chronic).
Good you are cutting back the daily quantity of the oxy.
That's too bad the Ambien does not work for you. It has really been a godsend for me.
Good idea to check with the doctor before taking the aspirin.
Hopefully you'll soon be feeling better. Sleep really is so important to recovery.
