you know starz, your comments about time of death makes me remember back to my dad's death. he was in the hospital's hospice wing.he's the one that asked to go there so we all knew what the outcome would be.

my brother and i were in FL from CO for several wks. we told his nurses we wanted to be with him at the end. well, she called us about 2AM and we raced to the hospital....but not in time.

she told us that in her experience patients don't like to actually pass with their family there, too painful. and so, many seem to pass in the middle of the nite.
