I love living in Lafayette, louisiana cajun country.
We have wonderful people, weather though it is too hot in the summer time, mild winters(I hate the cold) and the food here is great! Seafood, gumbo. muffalettos.
I eat at a health food store everyday and we got a whole foods last year.
We have roughly 250,000 people, a great university with something going on, plays, music. We have 2 theatre houses that have some play going on every weekend. Micro brewerys are popping up with good beer! Our downtown area has a monthly art walks and an out doors concert every friday in the spring/fall. We have festival international free music festival in the spring. We have a lot of music festivals here. And places to zydeco dance. We are close to new orleans, 2 1/2 hours east of us. We survived the great flood this past month helping each other.
