X2 I much prefer the colder weather it doesn't affect me, just dress in layers and if you do start getting to warm just Peel off layers...but I've noticed that I have to up my vitamin D3 intake during the colder months because of us being all covered up and not soaking up any SUN, in the warmer months I take 40ui a week and fall/winter months I gradually up to 70ui a week.
I do a lot of ice fishing in sub zero weather and do fine, I think you'll be fine for skiing just keep your body temp under control and enjoy every minute, good luck and have fun!
