Hello dealingwithtos

I also couldn't handle how strong percocet was, because I was too sleepy to do things (though it knocked me out good at night), and I found darvocet is in the same family, but not as strong. So I take darvocet during the day for pain.

Currently I am not on any anti nausea meds, but feel that I should be, as I get severe nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting from the pain. I am going to ask my doctor about that. Maybe you could ask your doctor if he feels comfortable prescribing something like that for you.

Ideas for sleep: anti depressants can sometimes be used to make you sleepy enough that you will fall into a deep sleep. I am on amitriptyline, which was helping for a while, but has since worn down... grr... My doctor can increase the dosage which will sometimes help.

I hear that trazodone is really good as a sleep aid, and it also has pain relieving qualities.

Ask your doctor if any anti depressants could help you.
