I am so sorry you are having to deal with these pump issues. I have had a few short episodes with withdrawal; but nothing like what you are dealing with. I am on oral opioids; Oxycontin, Oxycodone/Percocet and Vallium. The most difficult side effect is dealing with the constipation.

You mention the oral opioids do not help. It is trial and error before an ample dose, as well as the type of opioids used. Even with a stimulator there is often a need for some pain meds to be taken. What type of weaning schedule was suggested; i.e., meds to be used for gradually weaning. I can understand your need to have the pump removed.
