I have rubbed in Evening primrose oil into cuts and sores in the past however, and they heal up quickly. GLA in the primrose is in some cosmetics for improving skin, and also lip balms.
If you don't think it will increase infection risk, I'd give it a try.
My husband takes both flax and fish oil daily. And his psoriasis is much better.
Whenever he is stressed it tends to flare. But his face (eyebrows) has been clear for a while now. He only has it on one elbow, and one knee presently.
He inherited it from his Grandfather who had terrible lesions, including nails.
Since he stopped drinking alcohol all together 5 yrs ago it has also been much better.
