Default Bryanna or anyone else that can help- re-occuring abcess after implant

I posted a while ago about a problem I was having involving two of my front teeth which I damaged in a rollerblading accident when I was a teenager. At the time my front tooth #9 was badly damaged they did a root canal and put a crown on it. The tooth next to it, #10, was chipped but not badly enough damaged for a root canal which they put a cap or veneer (i forget which) over it. Over time a pimple grew on my gum above tooth #9, eventually becoming a hard lump. I had an apicoectomy done on the tooth, and the lump came back, so I had the tooth extracted in February 2016, and then had the implant put in July 2016. I am now in the process of waiting for the crown to be put in (which would have been in January) but the other day I noticed another gum pimple grew back, between tooth #9 and #10 so I don't know if: 1- the implant got infected or 2- tooth #10 is infected even though there is no root canal on it. My dentist did not see anything on the xray when I went for a cleaning and is referring me back to my oral surgeon. I guess I just wanted to get an idea of if it is most likely the implant getting infected... I wouldn't know what my other option would be if this implant failed. Right now I am living with a flipper on it. Thanks so much for any advice you can provide.
