I had a nice Thanksgiving also. I spent some time with my nieces, brother in law, and their friends.
I had beef, turkey, Salmon, mash potatoes, etc, and some cake.
I found out recently that the first Thanksgiving was not with the pilgrims in Massachusetts as we learned in school, but it was in Virginia, at the Berkeley plantation in 1619.
Captain John Woodlief, and his English settlers got on their knees, and gave thanks for safe passage. There were no native Americans, and no Turkey. Food had nothing to do with it. BF
