whole body symptoms suggests that your issues may be emanating from the dorsal roots along the spine. Hence putting the patches along the nerves coming from the spinal cord is the best placement. Putting lidocaine where you "feel" the pain often fails if the dorsal roots are the source.

I would choose one target for now, and see if you can reduce that area's pain. Don't worry about all the rest in the beginning.
