I would like to say, that I do not have PD. But I have used atenolol for many years. Of all the BP meds I've tried it has been the best for ME. The only side effect I notice is a reduction in aerobic exercise ability, and a general feeling of coldness sometimes.

People vary greatly biochemically, however, and things that happen to some do not appear in others.
Constipation? I wish! LOL

Report chest pain to your doctor. It is not a typical side effect.
Atenolol is used to treat heart conditions and not likely to cause chest pain. It does slow the heart rate, so if you have some problem with your heart you are unaware of, slowing the heart rate may create some issues for you.
