Yes, Talk to them more.
If you prefer, you could put forth your issues by phone calls the day before therapy.
I have found that the phone call often lays the groundwork (or takes care of the whole thing) for when I get to the in-person visit.
The in-person visit can reinforce what you said on the phone.
(I am struck by the fact that you are their first person who had a stroke. You
are basically
teaching them.) Teach. Preach. Yell.
