{observers may not realize Kosar is suffering from a scare-causing neurological ailment of his own but here makes what may be a very astute observation regarding ALS; insofar as ALS may well have started in its victim long before they became aware trouble was at hand. Kosar was saying he could make a joke but I don't think his remarks were intended to be a joke; rather he wanted to say he has known Clark for a long time and because Clark was his opponent he should make a joke but instead he was making a serious note about NFL and neurological disorders . . . the media misread his intent - were everything healthy, one would have expected a joke in an athlete's cameo; instead Kosar's real point was practically derailed.}
