The neurologist told you right. You are very fortunate to have found a neurologist who understands these issues. He explained it just right.
Your anxiety will continue to make your life miserable in this way until get help with your anxiety. It may take some nutritional therapy, medications and psycho therapy.
Concussions and anxiety are a serious catch-22. Concussions can increase anxiety, anxiety can make concussion symptoms much worse, anxiety can slow recovery from concussions, and anxiety can mimic concussions from minor or even imagined head contacts.
To start, I suggest you read the Vitamins sticky. B-12, D-3, folic acid and the others can help the brain better tolerate daily stress.
