Hi, a piece of your polyneuropathy is probably small fiber neuropathy which does cause extreme sensitivity to touch. For some of us, even the wind blowing or fabric touching us can be painful. Even a shower can hurt. Typically diabetic neuropathy starts in feet and hands, so if you have this all over your body, you could either have out of control blood sugar damaging the nerves, or possibly another manifestation on top of it, possibly something autoimmune?
