There is likely to be a bit of pain from healing the 'wound'. It may be much more convenient and less painful in the long run after it heals up.

I know that I definitely felt the catheter bounce off my collar bone when they did my plasmapharesis. The catheter felt tender for a couple days, but then it was ok.




On the other hand, you can now get a tattoo over the site, saying "Insert Needle Here" like on a basketball.
