It's not always a burning sensation in the gums. It can feel like a toothache or feel like an object lodged in the jaw.

It seems like the people who have full body SFN, tend to have atypical face pain vs TN type 1. There are small fiber nerves in the ophthalmic branch of the TN nerve.
