This burning comes on at sleep time, and I often will get up and rub my feet with Vicks salve and I'll do the rubbing alcohol too as an alternate. I have so many rubs/ointments on the stand next to bed.

You say you don't have OA but arthritis in fingers and toes...that's OA as I understand it unless you are challenged with RA. thanks..
