i hope a biological treatment comes to market that will be as effective as DBS. To be a little cynical, there's a lot of money to be made by the medical establishment after the DBS from programming sessions and battery replacement which likely isn't the case with cell or gene implants. I think the DBS 2.0 is probably more than 5 years in the future, more likely 10 since recruitment of candidates might be a problem. changes to DBS 1.0 already take years.
