I don't know if you were given a fair shot at rehab for that leg because of the inexperience of the PTs and the fact that you were overworked because they didn't take into account the condition of your leg and your age, or you just reached a point where PT did all it could for you given the damage done from the stroke

I don't think that means you should give up. I would want to go to a REALLY GOOD PLACE and find out for sure which is the case. When I go to PT, I start out with pool therapy. It would be fantastic if you could find a place that offers that.
