As you have the up and down days, eventually, you will start to have more up than down days or downs that are not as deep. Don't try to keep track. Let them sneak up on you so you finally realize, I had two good days in a row. or, I just did xyz for the first time in months.

Then, after you have been doing great for a while, be ready for the "Oh, this is going to be one of those days." They will also sneak up and slap you. How you respond will impact how quickly you get past them.
