Oh wow Gerry, our posts crossed. Thanks much for the valuable info. Yes, I will do the stretches and trust me, I am very careful. My balance is very bad and falling is always on my mind. A couple years ago I flew right off the tread mill. Luckily I was not hurt AND no one laughed.

First and foremost I am trying to build some strength in my legs. Us alcoholics can tolerate high levels of misery and pain but it is the weakness and balance that scares me so. Walking is easier than standing. I cannot stand for more than a couple brief moments.
