This was the first thing they did for my RSD but it was two years too late. Some of the sessions caused a lot of pain. They ran electricity throught the needles and told me to turn it up as high as I could stand. Apparently the spasming muscles were too much work for them so I got pain later.

One of the times, though, they ran a current in just the right place and it gave pretty good relief which seemed to last more than 24 hours. The doctor refused to repeat it and I stopped treatment.

I recently got a tens unit and early results are promising. It's probably not going to cure the problem but it "buries" low level pain (Up top about level 3). Twenty minutes without pain and my B/P drops from 160/105 to 120/69. It's a nice little vacation.
