Not sure if this has any validity to it or any pertinence to your situation but I'm going to toss
It out after talking about this very thing with my wife last night.

My body feels different I think, but quite functional since my accident.

I say "I think" because I wonder if it actaually is any different. I seem to be quite aware of every sensation and it makes me wonder if it is more my ability to filter the norm that is not up to par. I'm no expert but that is my sort of theory for me.

My hands were easily numbed if my elbows were wrong on a chair for a couple of years after my accident but that has departed now.
