My BIL died in 2002 from a bleeding ulcer. He went to the ER with stomach pains. They didn't properly check him, they cut some corners, and only noticed when he had already bled to death.

Internal bleedings are so dangerous, and so well known.

Hope you'll start to feel a bit better when they "top you up". You can't fight an infection when you have not enough blood in you. I'll refrain from cursing, but that is just... grrr.
