TENS devices cause Parathesis, the tingling sensation. Long time use can tighten muscles and make it worse. I gave up on these devices, and had some pretty expensive programmable ones. Parasthesis in simulator use is old technology. I finally went with the Nevro Unit. You need extensive consultation with a Neurologist, to find out what is causing all of this. Trigger point shots could give you months of relief. They don't hurt either.
