Default Lip Biopsy

Hi en bloc,
As you may have remembered, i have been so hesitant to have the lip biopsy. After all the repeated negative bloodworks, my new rheumatologist at UF Health Gainesville strongly recommended the procedure. Having voiced my reservation, he assured me that if there is one doctor he is confident to do the procedure, it is this doctor. Finally, I did it last Tuesday, en bloc! So far, so good. The procedure itself was not painful...the only discomfort i have now is the slight swelling, numbness in the area and the stitches that starting to loosen. I have yet to wait for the long term side effects. My anxieties might have just been from what i read and the fear of adding more discomforts to my body.
Now, I do not know if i am happy or disappointed, but the result of the lip biopsy is non-supportive of Sjorgren’s. My Schirmer’s Tests are all negative just as the Flow rate but all bloodworks are negative.
I will have to wait what is the next route for me.

Regards,
Mary
